As soon as we heard that Cathay's "Bring Your Own Container" event was back, we couldn't resist the urge to take it to another level this year.
This event has always been a hit, allowing people to visit their chosen outlet and receive up to 3 kg of popcorn when they bring their own containers. Held at Cathay Cineplex - JEM on 4 September 2024, the team loaded up and made our way down with our selected containers.
We were greeted by a lively atmosphere, with a packed queue waiting even though we arrived earlier than expected. We also had the chance to walk down the line and see many people who had chosen to bring their TOYOGO containers or boxes. Let’s address a common question:
"Are TOYOGO boxes/containers food safe?"
The answer is yes! Our products are made of virgin polypropylene, which is certified as an excellent FDA-grade plastic.
While waiting for our turn, we created some viral-worthy videos with the Cathay Cineplex team. As we got to the front of the queue, everyone started taking pictures and videos, as the Cathay team was pleasantly surprised and burst out in smiles when they saw what we brought.

After all, the rule was that boxes/containers that can hold a maximum of 3 kg ONLY, right? Fret not—our 4-TIER Marine Drawer did the trick, along with our other massive containers (Hot & Cool bucket, HIGHLY 'Q' BOX & more). After snapping some final shots and ensuring our buckets were filled, we thanked everyone and headed back to the office with a mountain of popcorn. Everyone at HQ enjoyed the rest of the day as the office filled with the delicious scent of sweet butter.
Don’t worry—no kernels were wasted, as everyone received a huge bag to take home at the end of the day.
